Rotator
Rotators are not waveplates. They fulfill the same task, but do not depend on certain wavelengths.
A rotator can e.g. work within a 10nm range. A waveplate will already have a significant loss at a 2nm derivation. Rotators work like waveplates due to a different thickness of the optical element, but are way more thicker (which leads to the broader band of usability).
